Hooray! Topshop's Next Designer Collaboration Is Louise Gray!

24 May 2012 by

London Fashion Week’s Louise Gray has long been a favourite of ours, but the past three seasons have been particularly spectacular; her maverick mix of poptastic brights, clashing textures and fun accessories haven’t lost any of their shazam factor, no sir, but the top quality finish and jostling in of some staple and more user-friendly pieces have turned the only-for-the-brave into yes-please-I’ll-have-one-of-everything . The Scot designer sums up all that bloomin’ brilliant about quintessentially Brit fashion – and now you can get a bite of the eclectic action for a slice of the price. So you may have guessed then that Topshop’s latest collaborator is Fashion Forward-sponsored Louise - but unlike many of the other top designers on their roster, she’ll be creating a makeup range, too. It’s no wonder when you think of the strength of her personal style – from her blue-haired top to her PVC-booted toes – and the distinctive catwalk look she’s created.

“My idea behind the collaboration was to design for the Topshop girl a range that was young and fun, similar to both the fashion and make up I wear already.” Louise says, “My mainline collections have always been about pushing optimism, colour and fun, I want her to experiment with the product, be daring and have fun with it.”

So what’ll it be? The range will be dropping in stores in August and the only hints we have at this present time from the Topshop press release is: “Glitter pots and flouro eye colours in creamy textures alongside a fashion collection of simple shapes in her signature style with colour and texture.” Safe to say, as soon as we get images, you’ll be first to see them! BRING ON THE FUN.
