Holy footwear, fashion-fans! What’s this? Have Ugg, the cosy sheepskin boot company, secretly beloved of everyone from Carey Mulligan to Kim Cattrall, launched a spangly new range of wedding-wear? Why – yes, they have.
Launching now in the USA and soon in the UK, the collection (aptly named ‘I do’) comprises the sequined ‘Sparkles’ boot and the pearlescent ‘Bailey’ boot (above). Each design comes in off-white, with a sparkly pastel blue sole, and with the ‘Bailey’ fastened by a giant Swarovski crystal button. USA customers are also being treated to a pair of 'Fluff' flip-flops, (for spring brides, of course) but that's unfortunately not going to be an option for the brides of the UK.

Now, the designs will be available to pre-order in the UK from June 1st - exclusively in one of the footwear brand’s existing four UK stores and in their new Piccadilly store, which also opens on June 1st - and they'll be available to purchase in-store from June 22nd. So – the big question here is: would YOU wear them to your wedding? - we know that Uggs are possibly the comfiest shoes in the history of footwear (and we also know some of their new designs, like the brill printed wedges and mules are super chic). So is there absolutely nothing wrong with slipping on some super-cozy wedding-day Uggs on the way to and from the Church, or are they a crime so grave they threaten to undermine the sanctity of marriage itself? Discuss.
