Pippa Middleton Attends Wedding Wearing Red Version of Kate's Issa Engagement Dress

It's no secret that the Middletons like to keep things in the family. The Duchess of Cambridge and her Royal Hotness sister have been spotted in the same Katherine Hooker coat, Whistles jacket and and let's not forget Mrs Middleton has got in on the clothes-swapping act too. Then, this weekend, Pippa was snapped attending (another) wedding of friends from her Edinburgh university days wearing a ladylike red dress that looks rather familiar...

Yup, this is the red version of that ‘Forever’ dress by Issa Kate Middleton wore for the announcement of her engagement to Prince William. The low-cut silk jersey frock, which Kate debuted back in November 2010, retailed at £475 and became an overnight sensation, selling out almost instantly and inspiring a zillion high-street imitations. It's rather brave of Pippa to copy-cat such an iconic dress, no?

Admittedly, attending the Scottish wedding of close friend Camilla Hook to Indian Ocean tsunami survivor Sam Holland, the actor grandson of Oscar-winning film director Lord Attenborough, isn't quite so high-profile as announcing your union to the future King of England. And hats off to P-Middy for making it her own by styling up the wrap-around dress with a black fascinator covered in frothy corsages plus net veil and accessorising with a chic envelope clutch and very Middy-esque black heels. What's more, the striking ruby tone makes a refreshing contrast to Kate's sapphire blue version, which perfectly matched her glitzy engagement ring.

We find it rather heart-warming that the sisters, who are notoriously close pals, continue to share style tips, but what do you make of Pippa pickpocketing Kate's style? Would you rather see her sporting something more, err, original? Thrash it out in the box below...
