Kristen Stewart in Marchesa, Charlize Theron in Dior: Grazia's Inside Scoop From 'Snow White and The Huntsman' World Premiere

15 May 2012 by

Grazia_Live's Twitter feed almost crashed with excitement yesterday. Why? Because of a certain lady called Kristen Stewart. The star of 'The Twilight Saga' has shaken off her Bella Swan sweetness to take on the titular role in 'Snow White and The Huntsman' and Grazia Daily was lucky enough to see her in action last night — not only on the silver screen but right before our very eyes on the grassy carpet at the film's world premiere AND at the after-party...

Think Snow White, think dainty princess with a bow in her hair prancing merrily through the woods surrounded by squirrels, right? Well, think again. This new version sees Kristen as a swashbuckling hero who gallops across wind-swept beaches while kitted out in warrior armour and sporting a fierce snarl. In short: we love kick ass K-Stew. But before settling down to watch the gritty retelling, Grazia Daily spent a good few hours shivering in London's Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of La Stew — and we weren't disappointed.

Gone were the Converse trainers and the signature strapless mini-dress and instead, the edgy actress was SWATHed (ha!) in a glorious gown from Marchesa's Autumn Winter 2012 collection. With lashings of lace, an embroidered skeleton-like bodysuit and a sheer black skirt, the gothic-tastic look was perfect for the film's dark vibe. Kristen topped off her look with black Jimmy Choo Eros heels and a wispy up 'do that featured a gold chain entwined in a messy bun.

Giving Kristen a run for her best dressed money was co-star Charlize Theron. The fash-off was well and truly ON when the statuesque stunner also rocked up to the premiere in a sheer black floor-sweeper. As the face of J'adore fragrance, no prizes for guessing that Charlize chose to wear Dior for the occasion and this frock came from the French brand's Spring Summer 2012 Couture collection. Wearing nothing but a pair of black hotpants under the layers of chiffon (ooh la la!), her legs looked leggier than ever and with that French roll hairstyle showcasing her emerald Solange Azagury Partridge earrings, she looked mighty elegant.

Another notable style moment came courtesy of Liberty Ross, whose hubby Rupert Sanders directed the film and gave her the part of Snow White's mother (aww). The British model got us gasping by bringing Tom Ford's vibrant blue gown to the red carpet and she brilliantly polished off the dramatic look with more wine-red lips and a sleek scraped-back bun. 'I wanted something quite gothic and this seemed to work,' she told us. And her top tip for tackling the red carpet? 'I like to have a facial with oils so that I feel fresh.' And didn't it pay off?

Sporting a new blonde bob, Lily Cole looked ravishing in the black version of Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid gown while Amber Atherton from 'Made in Chelsea' swooshed over to us in a floaty creamy white gown. 'I was lucky enough to raid Ralph Lauren's archives today and I chose this one because it's not often that you get to wear a long, glamorous gown,' she revealed. Too right!

Grazia's Inside Scoop From Snow White and Huntsman Premiere

Later that night, we hit the 'SWATH' after-party, which was held at the magnificent Royal Courts of Justice and was sponsored by our pals at Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka. We sidled up to (the very hunky) Chris Hemsworth who became a father last weekend (check out our blurry Twitter snap here). 'Congrats!' we trilled before asking him what kind of dad he thinks he'll be. 'A good one I hope!' was his reply — and we promptly swooned. 'The wife wanted to come but she needs four weeks to recover'. Ah, fair dos.

Io Echo Snow White Huntsman

Speaking of swooning, Robert Pattinson was in the building, people. He spent the evening keeping a low-profile under a black baseball cap, chatting to sister Lizzy and occasionally giving his lady friend Kristen a supportive squeeze. K-Stew had made a quick change into her standard uniform of Nike trainers, black jeans and a simple white tee under a leather biker jacket and was spotted enjoying the band, Io Echo, alongside her director pal, Rupert [above].
