Three's a trend! Are white thigh split dresses the trend of the moment? At the Met Ball on Monday night, model Anya Rubik got everyone talking/gossiping/tittering (delete as appropriate) about her pelvic-bone-revealing Anthony Vaccaro dress. The day after, Kate Middleton wowed the crowds outside Claridge's Hotel for the Thirty Club’s annual dinner wearing a far-more-demure version — a ‘Lombard’ gown from Roland Mouret’s Autumn Winter 2009 collection, no less.
But it was Rihanna who firmly cemented the trend when she turned up at last night’s LA premiere of her new film 'Battleship' in a stunningly sexy Adam Selman number with Manolo Blahnik shoes [above], an artful combo cunningly chosen to reveal glowing skin and miles of toned leg. Both revealed inches of flesh but also took a leaf out of the Duchess’s book and kept their arms covered.
So if you are looking to ratchet up the sex appeal take tips from Rihanna, whose drapey jersey white number reveals leg, back and chest (think twice if you have a generous bosom). And unless you are looking to do a Liz-Hurley-THAT-DRESS moment, its prob best to leave the hip baring to Anja...
