Chloe Moretz in McQ Alexander McQueen and Eva Green in Tom Ford: Best Dressed at 'Dark Shadows' London Premiere

10 May 2012 by

Tim Burton’s latest gothic film, Dark Shadows, sees Hollywood A-lister Michelle Pfeiffer play mother to budding-star (and style setter, hello, Max Mara's Face of the Future) Chloe Moretz alongside Johnny Depp, Eva Green and Helena Bonham Carter. And, with the premiere taking place in London’s Leicester Square last night – with some fans waiting a whopping 13 hours to catch a glimpse of Johnny - we’re all dying to know who wore what…

Chloe embraced the gothic theme by wearing a stunning blood red McQ Alexander McQueen AW12 broderie anglais dress which the starlet accessorised with a thick black waist belt and ankle strap heels. We also loved her girl-next-door tousled blonde hair and 1980s red diamante ring by Susan Caplan. She's growing up!

Former Bond girl Eva Green (who judging by those roots, is a natural blonde, who knew!?) plays the evil witch seeking revenge against Johnny Depp’s character in the film so she looked suitably vamp-tastic on the err, purple carpet. Her dark blue floor-length velvet dress comes courtesy of Tom Ford's AW11 collection - has the slick designer found himself a new swan, we wonder? You'll remember Mr Ford attended the BAFTA Awards with the actress earlier this year. Eva accessorised the sumptuous gown with gold cuffs, statement rings, seriously smoky eyes and bold red lips. When asked on the red carpet what it was like to kiss co-star Johnny, Eva replied coyly, ‘not bad.’ There's gratitude for ya!

Meanwhile, Helena Bonham Carter looked stunning in a signature gothic glam ensemble which saw her in lots of black netting and ruffles, courtesy of Vivienne Westwood Gold Label. Australian actress Bella Heathcote, who plays not one, but two characters in the film put herself on the fashion map in a knee-length black net backless dress and royal blue nails while Michelle Pfeiffer wore a burgundy red strapless dress and Sergio Rossi black satin ‘cachet’ peep toe slingback pumps. Johnny donned his usual look of tinted shades and lots of Jack Sparrow-inspired jewellery.

So, it’s official. Gothic glamour is in, and not just for the stars of Dark Shadows but guests like Paloma Faith, who wore a black Dolce & Gabbana ensemble from their SS12 collection. Take a look at the event's best dressers by scrolling through the gallery above...
