The very second we heard Brad Pitt had proposed to Angelina Jolie last month, the dress predictions began! Not since Kate Middleton has there been such a furore surrounding a frock. Versace, Armani, Jenny Packham or Dior – our minds have been racing with dreamy options. And so, it seems, have those of the design elite. Speaking to People magazine, bridal pros Badgley Mischka, Monique Lhuillier and Reem Acra reveal what they’d like to see the starlet wearing on the Big Brangelina Day – they've even drawn fab sketches [above]. And yes, there is a red-carpet-worthy slit for her 'legsploits'...

Mark Badgley and James Mischka’s sketch of their dream dress for Angelina shows a classic creation with a mermaid silhouette, nipped-in waist and glistening jewels around the low-cut neckline. “[Something] like this would be perfect for Angelina,” explain the design duo. “Its beaded bodice would give her just the right amount of sparkle, and the fitted tulle skirt with godets makes it elegant and totally glamorous.”
Monique Lhuillier

Meanwhile, Monique Lhuillier went the romantic route with her sketch of a Chantilly lace gown with an elegant V neckline, low back and – hurrah! – thigh-high slit. “Angie has style,” the US designer says. “She takes a classic look and adds a sultry, sexy edge and makes it her own.”
