Temperley London's Autumn Winter 2012 show

As we watched Temperley London's show during Fashion Week in February, every one of us Graziettes was dreaming of being a princess. We gasped as glistening silk gowns with opulent jewelled straps and floor-sweeping cream lace robes glided down the catwalk in an Autumn Winter 2012 collection fittingly entitled Renaissance. Although the bulging fur hats were a tad too Russian spy for a young royal, it was hard not to imagine the Duchess of Cambridge swathed in the sumptuous eveningwear or choosing an elegant pencil skirt with lace ankle boots for a public outing. Kate has, after all, worn the British designer's pieces on several occassions and let's not forget her sister Pippa caused a stampede when she FROW'ed at Temperley's Spring Summer 2012 show.

So we admit to being somewhat surprised that rather than a Middleton being the first to step out in one of the AW12 creations, it was Jennifer Lopez. Oh yes. She was spotted at the American Idol studio last night rocking a gold sequin cropped jacket hot off the Temperley catwalk, but rather than channelling the collection's regal vibe, J-Lo stayed true to her ghetto fabulousness. Hats off to that! Not only did she pair the jacket with a pair of matching harem pants, she blinged it up with gold Jimmy Choo ‘Leila’ sandals and chunky Pomellato jewels, topped off by lashings of honey-toned extensions. Well, who'da thunk it!

Of course, the songstress is a bona fide pop princess so if anyone can transform Temperley's fairytale pieces into decadent urban wear, it's Jenny from the block. Commenters, however, have compared the look to a 'tacky '80s flashback'. Yikes! So we want to hear your verdict on Jennifer's golden girl look...
