Kate Middleton Wears Blue Tweed To Honour The Scott-Amundsen Centenary Race Today

As the Queen’s Jubilee approaches, as well as their first wedding anniversary, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a diary packed with royal appointments. Yesterday we saw Prince William and Kate Middleton at the London première of 'African Cats', for which the DoC chose to wear a chic Matthew Williamson number, and today the couple are attending another swanky reception — and they've just arrived! *squeals*

Kate and Wills are at Goldsmiths' Hall in London to honour the Scott-Amundsen Centenary Race to the South Pole, which raised funds for the British Legion. Kate looks tres ladylike wearing a tweed jacket and matching knee-length skirt from Rebecca Taylor's pre-fall 2012 collection in her favourite colour, royal navy blue. The jacket has floral accents on the round neckline, a frayed trim (much like that Missoni coat dress) and hook-and-eye front - how classic! PLUS it's still available to buy from www.neimanmarcus.com for $270.00 (approximately £166). Quiiiiick!

Kate's accessorised the look with colour-coordinated heels, a jeweled poppy brooch and the blue Anya Hindmarch Marano clutch bag that was first spotted when she attended the Irish Guard Armed Forces Day in June last year.

Rebecca Taylor is a New Zealand-born designer who launched her self-named line in the mid 1990s. Since then, her kittenish creations have won her fans around the world, including Emma Roberts [above] who has worn the same jacket as Kate. According to the Rebecca Taylor website, 'her creativity and energy pours into her collections with inspirational references ranging from vintage mod books from the '60s and '70s to the words of music, art and entertainment'.

And there's more Kate to come. Later today, the royal couple will be attending a reception at the Imperial War Museum, which is debuting its Centenary Commemorations. Bring on the Middy Watch!
