As we gulp down another coffee on this Tuesday morning, the hipster fun in the scorching desert continues at Coachella (sigh) and today, we turn our attentions to the lavish parties Mulberry have laid on for their A-list pals.
First up, the Brit brand hosted a fash-tastic Firepit Party at The Parker Hotel with Kate Bosworth, Cara Delevingne and Azealia Banks boogying along to a live acoustic performance from Kasabian and DJ set by The Vaccines. They were surrounded by monster-themed paraphernalia in reference to the Autumn Winter 2012 show that was inspired by the mysterious creations in Where The Wild Things Are. LOVE!
Mulberry's Pool Party at Coachella
As if that wasn't enough monster fun for one weekend, the following day saw a BBQ Pool Party where the usual suspects were back to lounge on Mulberry cushions while sporting Emma Hill's finest creations and festie-perfect accessories. Emma Watson, Lily Collins and Arizona Muse (carrying the Del Rey bag, no less) also popped by for some pool-side partying and looked resplendent in an array of floppy hats, printed playsuits and flippy dresses.
Of course, Kate Bosworth looked as enviable as ever wearing Mulberry's tiger print tee with Current/Elliott’s short shorts and studded sneakers from the Autumn Winter 2012 catwalk, plus the gorgeous Mini Lily bag in ink blue. But despite her covetable outfit, the blonde starlet admits that such a fash-tastic shindig is 'a nerve-racking experience'. Speaking to Fashionista, she said: 'It’s so high school sometimes! People get so self-conscious at these things. They end up just standing around and staring at each other within their own little groups.' We hear ya, Bos!
Kate Bosworth with boyfriend Michael Polish
So as the master of festival dressing, what's Kate's top tip? 'Wear your boyfriend’s jacket! I wore Michael [Polish]’s army surplus jacket last night because I didn’t have anything of my own, and I was like, "Babe…? I need this!" and took it right off him. It worked with my whole look—a Vanessa Bruno T-shirt dress and Wellies.' Ah yes, a girl after our own heart.
