Jason Wu’s Women: Emma Stone, Diane Kruger, Blake Lively and Michelle Obama Work The Red Carpet

05 April 2012 by

Since presenting his debut collection in 2006, New York based designer Jason Wu has been worn by First Lady Michelle Obama for the Inaugural Gala, launched a sell-out eyewear collection, gained over fifty stockists worldwide for his ready-to-wear, become a member of the CFDA, created a special collection for TSE cashmere, launched killer handbag and shoe lines, created both nail and cosmetic collections, all the while gaining a mighty following of loyal fans- many anonymous and many famous!

So besides being one of the busiest young designers in the business Jason Wu’s incredible designs keep women coming back for more- striking, feminine and utterly gorgeous Wu is all about the attention to detail and has received great praise for his craftsmanship not only on the outside of his pieces but also the inside- beauty for what only the wearer gets to see.

Born in Taipei, Jason has also lived in Vancouver and Paris, and after graduating from New York’s Parsons School of Design it wasn’t long before his exciting aesthetic of up-town Park Avenue glamour and uber chic American sportswear was turning heads in the fashion world.

Extremely luxurious with nods to couture detailing and an intense use of colour, Jason’s collections are ideal red carpet cobbler and we all know that high-voltage glamour cashes in when it comes to Hollywood, but Wu’s clothes are way cooler than that- and so are the women rocking his wears! From Emma Stone, Diane Kruger and Jaime King to Michelle Obama, Jason Wu’s women have a sophisticated attitude and like us they dig his dramatic and ladylike silhouettes, the perfect balance of elegant and youthful.  We ♥.
