We often wish we could go to work in our pajamas – and look! Rihanna actually has.

Rihanna Tackles The Pajama Trend in Emilio Pucci At The Battleship Premiere: EEK OR CHIC?

The songstress arrived at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Japan this afternoon for the world premiere of her new film, ‘Battleship’ and what did she chose for the occasion? Another slinky gown by her new bestie, Stella McCartney perhaps? Or a splash of sparkling Givenchy Couture maybe? Nope! Ri-Ri has caused our jaws to hit the floor once again thanks to a pajama-esque ensemble hot off Emilio Pucci’s Autumn Winter 2012 catwalk. WOWZERS.

Consisting of a blue-and-gold metallic shirt with a tie waist and matching trousers, the star wisely kept the rest of her statement-making look simple, accessorising with nude heels, dainty hoops earrings and a matching, surprisingly minimal necklace. And doesn't the outfit work brilliantly with her new black bouffant? Her blonde bombshell style of last week would totally have ruined today's laid-back vibe, no?

Rihanna's latest outing, however, has divided opinion here at Grazia HQ. ‘Ah, the pitfalls of PJ dressing,’ one fashion editor sighed while another simply reacted with: ‘MASSIVE!’ (in a good way). Whatever your verdict, sleepwear-inspired style is seriously hot right now. Florence Welch has been making Hugh Hefner jealous with various head-to-toe printed combos, Alexa Chung donned a pair of paisley pajama bottoms for the House of Holland show, Caroline Sieber dared to wear Louis Vuitton's silky suit while Beyonce has oft been spotted sporting a simple smoking slipper to carry Baby Blue about town. So you see, celebville’s style-setters prove this is one stylish trend — and it’s ruddy comfy too!

Will YOU be giving it a go?
