Mad Men Is Back! Here Are Our Top Ten Fashion Moments

The wait is finally over. It’s been a year and a half since we last had Don Draper on our telly screens (he's our favourite anti-hero EVER) and if, like us, you’re planning on hosting your own ‘Mad Men’ viewing party when the first episode of the fifth series airs tomorrow *squeal* you’ll have the Tanqueray gin at the ready for those dirty martinis and lots of limes for your vodka gimlet, right? But, most importantly, what are you going to wear? This series we're being fast forwarded to 1966, which means the outfits will be getting brighter and bolder. In preparation (and for inspiration), we’ve put together our favourite Mad Men moments over the years. Click through the gallery above and get excited...

Betty's maternity frock

When Betty announced she was pregnant with her and Don’s third child, the Stepford wife look was never going to be sacrificed (it is Betty, after all) and we loved the collar and embellishment on this dress.

Joan’s teal dress

This frock with a waist-bow tie from season two was one of our favourite outfits and not just because of the massive rock on her finger either. If anything, her brooch is the scene-stealing accessory.

Peggy gets serious

After being told by Joan that no one will take her seriously while she continues to dress like ‘a little girl’, Peggy Olson debuts this number. It’s gingham-meets-Chanel and showed that the secretary-turned-copywriter meant business. We loved.

Trudy's turquoise dress

We've long lusted after Ms Campbell's embellished turquoise number ever since it hit our telly screens.

Betty’s equestrian look

Horse-riding has never looked so chic. We especially love her camel wool coat.

Sally Draper’s bob

Okay, this isn't an outfit as such, but it's an iconic look all the same, especially little Sally cut it herself! Plus, her crepe pastel-patterned dress is adorable.

Joan Holloway’s red dress

NO ONE can pull off as many shades of red as Christina Hendricks. The fit, the colour, the confidence. We want it all.

The 70s are arriving!

In this EXCLUSIVE season 5 photo, Trudy is rocking a serious psychedelic print. Retro-tastic!

Betty's blue dress

Who could forget this blue dress and the ugly aftermath?

Peggy's geek chic

When Peggy Olson let her GBF (gay best friend) cut her hair in her kitchen for her ‘take me seriously’ wardrobe, we all gasped a little but it worked out and she still played on the geek chic with those Peter Pan collars and sweater sets.
