Lana Del Rey's Video For Blue Jeans Is Here: Do You Like The No Fashion Frills Approach?

It's fair to say that Lana Del Rey likes keeping us on our toes. We weren't sure what to expect when we heard the video for her new single Blue Jeans had landed, but we were banking on the young starlet, who's turned into something of a fashion dynamo of late, making the most of her little black book of designer buddies. Well, she does have her very own Mulberry bag named after her.

How wrong we were! Five outfit changes and some crazy out-there looks might be de rigeur for other leading ladies in the music world - the egg suit, Lady Gaga? or those icing-bun bras, Miss Perry? - but not so for Miss Del Rey. Fashion darling she may be, but it seems she has no intention of letting all the fashion clamour go to her head.

In the uber-dark vid, which sees her swimming with alligators and a pretty dangerous looking dude, she wears just the one outfit: a vintage-looking white swimming costume. She also keeps her hair and makeup super simple and pared back - classic, beautiful and very, very Lana.

Whilst meat dresses and super-see-through tops (Rihanna, we're looking at you!) aren't her cup of tea, LDR's pioneered her own brand of noir-esque edgy and it's kept us totally obsessed. And luckily, we're not likely to see Lana abandon her signature style any time soon. Despite having faced criticism (on everything from her alleged plastic surgery to her name change) since she exploded on the music scene, she shows no signs of letting it sway her, saying: 'I'm used to doing things and having a very severe response...what people think of me is none of my business'.

And we're glad to hear it. Here at Grazia Daily, we reckon Lana's refreshing attitude, unique style and know-her-own-mind nous is a winning combination. Blue Jeans is bound to be on repeat in the office for some time to come. So check out the new video for yourself and let us know what you think of Lana's look...
