Karl Lagerfeld's New Website Karl.com Has Launched!

Back in January Grazia magazine brought you the exclusive and rather exciting news that the master of monochrome, king of couture and best glove wearer ever, Mr Karl Lagerfeld, was launching a lower-priced line, quite simply called ‘Karl’. Largerfeld loves a new challenge, “I’m a fashion opportunist,” he told us, and we were duly impressed to see that despite a far friendlier hit on our wallets, there’d be no scrimping on quality or his coveted signatures for the loyal platoon of fans. Defining statement pieces like his sci-fi leathers, crisp shirts, tom-boy tailoring and fierce jeans were snapped up in an instant, and his signature collars and studs turned many a girl into a living, breathing outfit homage to the great designer. We’ve even spotted the Karl collar hit the autumn/winter runways in other collections – that’s just how influential this little styling tweak has been.

First the range launched on Net-A-Porter but now there’s an officially KARL.com website, too, and it’s dedicated to the line and much much more… Like a tab of ‘Karlisms’ where the living legend’s classic quotes (“If someone gives me a To-Do list, I say ‘Thank you, this is nice.’ One needs things to throw in the wastebasket.”) can be enjoyed time and time again. Or you can click into the ‘World of Karl’, where you can get to know the main man a little better. And to celebrate? A video!
