David and Samantha Cameron's tour of the US continues and today, Grazia joined the couple as they were shown around New York's Ground Zero by the city's mayor, Michael Bloomberg. At the memorial site, we bowed our heads in silence while Samantha laid a bouquet of white roses where the name of British victim Katherine Wolf is engraved. The prime minister will also be meeting relatives of the British victims of the 2001 attacks in New York.
Samantha chose the perfect outfit for the occasion — a sombre yet flattering long-sleeved dress by Emilia Wickstead in dark blue with a high collar. She topped off the look with a black Fenwick belt and shoes from Manolo Blahnik. Of course, the prime minister's wife is a long-time devotee of the London-based designer and her classic creations. Samantha famously wore one of her royal blue frocks on the day her husband became Prime Minister and remember when she opted for a black-and-white dress when Carla Bruni-Sarkozy visited 10 Downing Street?
'It is an absolute honour to have dressed Samantha for several important occasions, including her visit to America,' Emilia exclusively told Grazia Daily. 'Dressing a person of Samantha's profile and for a visit of such significance has been incredibly helpful in propelling the brand to an international platform.'
