Kate Middleton is a Dressed-Down Duchess at the London 2012 Olympic Park Today

Ever versatile, Kate Middleton ditched her trademark coat-dress style for a visit to the London 2012 Olympic Park this morning. The Duchess of Cambridge undertook the engagement in her role as an Olympic Ambassador and chose to wear a dark blue wool blazer adorned with gold buttons over a white T-shirt with a pair of uber-cool, skin-tight red jeans. She polished off the look with an official Team GB supporters' scarf tied around her neck and a pair of ladylike black heels. We're loving the colour-popping, Middy.

Kate soon swapped the smart blazer for a laid-back grey GB tracksuit top and Adidas trainers, accessorised with a hockey stick, to join Great Britain’s women’s Olympic hockey team. What a sporty Duchess she is! Of course, the 30-year-old is known for being a fitness fan and as a schoolgirl, she was team captain of the hockey team at Marlborough College. 'The last time I played was 2005...so I am really nervous now!' she told the players. And she looked slightly embarrassed about her outfit choice, saying, 'The colour of the pitch is, well, eye-catching. My trousers really clash.' Ah, we've all been there.
