As you may have guessed from our excited tweeting (follow us at Grazia_Live), one lucky Graziette is currently at the White House — yes, THAT White House — touring with David and Samantha Cameron during their three-day visit in the U.S. So what's on the agenda today? Well, after some last minute hoovering of the red carpet, the official arrival ceremony has begun on the spring-like South Lawn. President Obama is greeting the Camerons with an impassioned speech and in Barack's own words, he's 'chuffed to bits' to welcome the pair.
But what of the fashion? After Sam Cam chose a vibrant pink Roksanda Ilincic top for a basketball game in Ohio yesterday, she's backing British once again with ANOTHER dose of Roksanda gorgeousness. That's right, folks, Samantha is wearing a crepe wool dress with sea foam green sleeves and a navy skirt by the London-based designer. Talk about a double whammy!
‘It is always a delight to see Samantha Cameron wearing my designs,' Ms Ilincic exclusively told Grazia Daily this morning. 'And it is incredibly flattering that she has chosen to wear this during her visit to the United States.’ Bravo to you, lovely lady.
Indeed, the unfussy frock is a perfect choice for representing British style abroad. The pleat tucked neckline and half-length sleeves are suitably chic while the colour-blocking tri-tone and exposed zip keep the look modern and totally on-trend. Sam has polished off the look with the same Emilia Wickstead belt and LK Bennett heels that she wore yesterday. Yep, just like Kate Middleton, the PM's wife is proving to be a fan of recycling her wardrobe and sticking to what she does best. Thumbs up indeed.
In case you're after a touch of First Lady style, you can bag the dress for yourself for £855.00 on www.brownsfashion.com And we've just been told the sleek ensemble Michelle Obama is sporting today comes courtesy of U.S designer Zac Posen.
