As part of the Diamond Jubilee tour, Kate Middleton has just stepped out in Leicester looking tres ladylike in a teal ensemble. We've identified the outfit as consisting of LK Bennett's Jude jacket worn over LK Bennett's knee-length Davina dress.
As Grazia reported last year, Kate picked up these two items during a fashion dash in December before she spent her first Christmas at Sandringham (when she had to change outfits five times, no less). And clearly someone's been taking sartorial notes as the DoC is working the peplum trend with aplomb, accentuating the flared jacket with a thick black belt with a gold buckle.

The Duchess has topped off her look with nude tights, black Episode heels and a matching clutch - and as Hat Person of the Year, we're delighted to see her sporting such chic headgear, created by James Lock.

Although the LK Bennett pieces are no longer available on the brand's website, you can pick up the teal jacket on www.johnlewis.com - it's on sale for a purse-friendly £145 (Kate originally bought hers for £295) - and the dress in a variety of colours is also available. GO!
The Duchess is spending the day accompanying the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on a trip to Leicester’s De Montfort University to mark the beginning of the Diamond Jubilee Tour. The trio are at the university to meet students attending the Footwear Design degree – and one of them will get their very own Cinderella moment! Six students have designed shoes for the Duchess and later she’ll choose the pair she likes the best to wear.

Sam Sawkill, Summer Spender, Kay Yeng Cheng, Tabitha Duffield, Becka Hunt and Mei Chun Lai have spent months creating shoes they hope will wow the Duchess. ‘I wanted to reflect Kate’s personality in my design and make it relate to her,’ said Summer of her tartan design, inspired by Kate and Prince Williams’s time at St Andrews.
So will Kate choose the sexy high blue boots, a pair of sculptural grey heels or a sensible-heeled-pair inspired by the year of the dragon…? Whoever gets the nod will certainly see their fashion kudos soar because Kate’s fast being hailed as one of the most influential dressers in the world. Despite – or perhaps because of – sticking to her principles of wearing cut-price, bargains such as the M Missoni coat she bought at Bicester Village or the Jesire coat-dress she picked up at second-hand store The Stock Exchange…
