As you may have noticed from our hysterical Instagraming, Grazia Daily was at the Kanye West show in Paris last night. And because we like our dear readers to be up-to-date with every juicy fashion morsel, here’s what you might've missed...

Despite arriving at the show just ten minutes before it was due to start (at 9:30pm Paris time), the venue was ominously empty – expect, that is, for Anna Wintour patiently waiting on the FROW. Might it just be La Wintour and us, we asked the Twittersphere.

But nope, Kim Kardashian wasn’t far behind. The star sauntered past us in a blinding swarm of flashbulbs, swathed in white fur and wearing a pair of Kanye’s £4000 heels. Then a roll call of musicians followed to fill up the FROW. We’re talking Alicia Keys, P-Diddy, Jay-Z, Big Sean, Azealia Banks, Cassie AND Alicia Keys (phewf!) – all there to show support for their rapper pal.
But we couldn’t help but notice there was a bad vibe already brimming in the cavernous room. After Kanye’s collection was critically panned last season, it was obvious the crowd wasn’t expecting much better for Autumn Winter. It didn’t help that the show was running late and the press preview, which had been planned for earlier in the day, was cancelled last minute, resulting in several disgruntled editors. ‘I don’t know about this,’ Kanye reportedly said before kicking everyone out of his showroom. ‘I got treated unfairly by the press last time. Why would I want to do this?’ Eeek.

But what of the clothes once the show had begun? As expected, it was a leather fest with lashings of fur a-top body-con dresses, accessorised with knee-high boots or spindly heels. After fittings earlier in the week, Jourdan Dunn tweeted that the shoes are ‘crazy high’ and ‘sexy as fuck but you can't walk in them!’ Miraculously, there wasn’t one trip. That was thanks in part to the superstar catwalkers on the runway. As well as Jourdan, Mr West bagged Karlie Kloss, Carmen Kass, Joan Smalls, Anja Rubik and Arizona Muse.

But it was the finale that really got the crowd gawping. There were flashing lights, dry ice and go-karts speeding around a race track - oh yes - before the designer took his bow.
Then it was onto the after-party where we were treated to Belvedere vodka cocktails and performances by Azealia Banks, Big Sean and Mos Def. Loyal Kanye-fan Anna Dello Russo joined in the festivities, taking a spin around the track fittingly kitted out in head-to-toe leather. Jourdan Dunn tweeted that it was ‘EPIC!!!’ to drive the go-karts with her BFF Karlie: ‘Everyone was thinking they were Lewis Hamilton!’ Meanwhile, Azealia tweeted: ‘That was the most fun I’ve had this year!’
It was certainly one to remember...

Kat Stanley Sakach (Wed Mar 07 16:08:20 GMT 2012): In this day and age of enlightenment on the animals who are cruelly killed for their fur, I am disgusted by any fashion designer or celebrity who still uses/wears it. Regarding Kanye West, faux fur is perfect anyway for a faux designer. Alot of celebrities because they have money, think the can become accomplished fashion designers (i.e. Kanye West, Kardashians). Would never buy designer duds from these people.
