There are some stars you can count on to rock up to every front row wearing the latest frock by the designer and sitting side by side with Anna Wintour. Then there are others who take you by surprise. Since arriving in Paris last week, one such celeb has been whipping the paparazzi into a frenzy, dropping by some of the hottest shows in town and giving even hardened show-goers a run for their money. Step forward Alicia Keys. Oh yes!
Best known for her soulful singing voice and songwriting skills, Ms Keys is no stranger to the red carpet at music awards (she hit up the Grammys last month looking fab in Alexandre Vauthier) but we're not so used to seeing her FROW-side. Judging by the past week, that might all be about to change...
The buzz officially started when Alicia appeared at Givenchy wearing a white jacket (nochalantly slung across her shoulders) over a combo of classic black trews, white shirt and heavyweight gold necklace. After watching the show she proceeded to rock the afterparty - held at Paris' trendy L'Arc club - performing a selection of her songs to delighted onlookers like brand designer Riccardo Tisci, model Lily Donaldson and fellow crooner Kanye West.
But she didn't stop there! Ms Keys set tongues wagging en France as she graced the front row at Stella McCartney, YSL, Chanel, Valentino AND Kanye West each time arrayed from head to toe in chic monochrome - perhaps she was taking inspiration from her favourite instrument, the piano? Either way, we're loving Alicia's dedication to the look!
Here at Grazia Daily, we've been speculating about the reasons for the singing sensation's sudden appearance on our fashion week radars - maybe she's hoping to follow in the footsteps of Kristen Stewart (the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance) by landing herself a major campaign? Perhaps she'll be dropping a hot new album on us any day now and wanted to get the fash pack prepared? Or MAYBE she's planning on making like her pal Kanye and developing a line of her own. Yikes.
Only time will tell, folks, but what we do know is there's always room for a random FROWer.
