Three cheers for K-Pez! You can always count on the popstrel to bring a dollop of multi-coloured glitz to any event — and that's exactly what Katy Perry did in Paris last night. As we predicted yesterday, the star landed in the French capital on Wednesday to take in the catwalk delights of Paris Fashion Week and she's already been snapped sporting two typically jaw-dropping ensembles.
First up, Katy swathed her famous curves in a sheer mint green outfit from Vera Wang's Spring Summer 2012 collection. At first glance, the frock looks rather ladylike: see the oh-so-on-trend peplum, the knee-length skirt, those sky-high Christian Louboutin strappy heels, colour-popping coral bag and retro-tastic white sunnies. But take a closer look and — oh gracious! — you can see her pants! How classic KP.
Ever the chameleon, the 27-year-old made a quick change to reemerge that evening for a swanky party at La Maison du Caviar, where none other than Karl Lagerfeld was in attendance. This time, she chose a plunging, thigh-grazing, skin-tight mini-dress covered in a gold geometric pattern. 'It’s either Vegas hooker or Balmain,' she told WWD of the frock. 'It’s the first time I’ve worn them, and after they read this quote, it might be the last.' Ha!
Nevertheless, the outfits make quite a change from the one we saw Katy working yesterday as she landed at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Dressed in head-to-toe black leather from high-street hero All Saints, she looked more Emmanuelle Alt-onian than Katy Perry-esque. So we say bring on the eye-popping latex, the pineapple bras and cheeky flesh-flashers! C'mon KP, Paris needs you.
