Grazia Daily's head is about to explode with excitement. Why? Because we've heard rumours that Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyoncé are set to team up for a musical movie — squeals! — and now a birdy has confirmed it will be directed by Ryan Murphy (aka: Glee genius) and will be called One Hit Wonders — double squeal!
The BFFs-turned-co-stars will play singers who had one-off hits in the '90s and are struggling to regain their star status. Ah-may-zing. As if that wasn't exciting enough, a whole host of A-list names have also been thrown into the net, including Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon.
Oh, how we love to see our favourite actresses pulling on their dancing shoes and working their singing chops. Of course, Mrs. Paltrow-Martin has already nailed the role of a washed-up diva in Country Song and lest we forget her all-singing, all-dancing turn in Glee, so we know she's got a good set of lungs on her. What's more, Gwynnie will earn her first credit as a producer for the project. What a talented lady she is!
We're in safe hands with Reese Witherspoon — she put in an award-winning performance for her role in Walk The Line and Beyonce did a magnificent job at mixing her acting and dancing talents in Dreamgirls. As for Cameron Diaz? Err, we know she can dance, right?
Naturally, we're anticipating a LOT of jazz hands, sparkly outfits and catchy tunes from the star-studded shebang. So to really get us in the mood, let's take a look at our favourite musical moments from the mega cast...
