Earlier this month, Jessica Brown Findlay told Grazia Daily she constantly wears black or grey — but Dominic Jones has managed to get the Downton Abbey actress into white chantily lace for his Autumn Winter 2012 campaign. Yes, the 22-year-old Berkshire-born lass is the latest face for the jewellery brand and has seriously vamped up for the honour.
Jessica takes over from the likes of Alice Dellal, Lizzie Jagger and Florence Welch, who modelled for Dominic's Spring Summer 2012 campaign, proving that her star really is rising. ‘She’s a real English Rose,’ the designer says of choosing Jessica. ‘The collection is quite aristocratic and she was a perfect fit’. The period-actress – who we can’t wait to see in the TV adaptation of Kate Mosse's novel Labyrinth with fellow corset crew member Vanessa Kirby – was clearly a muse for Dominic, who has described the collection as ‘inspired by tokens and trinkets that were brought back by knights from their daughters; they almost look like museum pieces but with a modern aesthetic.’
Jessica's campaign chum is none other than Mary Charteris – aka: Daphne Guinness’ beautiful model niece. Both beauties are dripping in the gorgeously gothic collection of rings, necklaces and earrings, accessorised with white face powder and brown smoky eyes. They give the vampy Robert Pattinson a run for his money, don’t you think?
And so it's official: Lady Sybil has gone to the dark side and we have to say: pale has never been so pretty.
