She may only be 15-years-old, but Chloe Moretz has been honoured with a mega award. Nope, we're not talking about the Oscars — the hottest young actress in Hollywood has just been announced as the *deep breath* 2012 Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future. Congrats! She's due to pick up the award at a ceremony in Beverly Hills on June 12th.
The Italian fashion label are applauding Chloe for 'her outstanding achievements and her embodiment of style and grace.' Ooh. Pretty good going for the dinky Chadult, no? And, as The Cut notes, she's less than half the average age of the award's previous six recipients, which includes Zoe Saldana and Katie Holmes.
One thing's for sure, there's nothing teen-y about her style. In fact, Chloe's wardrobe would make most grown women turn green with envy - she's often decked out in sophisticated designer togs from Chanel, Burberry and Miu Miu, accessorised with ample attitude. And despite having fash land at her feet, the Hugo star isn't afraid of a touch of high street too, at least until the trust fund is released. 'I love going to Topshop, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel,' she told ASOS. 'I'm in love with their jackets.'
Oh yes, this is one girl who knows how to experiment. Most recently, Chloe wore an elegant Vivienne Westwood Couture dress at the Costume Designers Guild Awards, but kept the look fun with pink streaks in her hair. And for the recent Jason Wu for Target launch party, she looked quirky-cool in a black pleated skirt and white blouse with a very Diane Kruger-esque black bow at the neck. And for the Toronto Film Festival? McQ, of course! We've also seen her parading hipster creations from Proenza Schouler and Suno, proving she's got what it takes to rival fashionistas twice her age. So while we look forward to seeing Chloe FROWing at the label's Sportmax show during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, we can't help but wonder whether she'll star in MaxMara's next campaign..? Her fellow junior style setters, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld, have become muses for Rodarte and Miu Miu respectively, so surely it's only a matter of time before Chloe's on a billboard near you.
