WATCH Lana Del Ray Sing at Mulberry's London Fashion Week Dinner

20 February 2012 by

No doubt about it, Mulberry's Autumn Winter 2012 show was the highlight of Day Three at London Fashion Week. Not only were there bacon butties and chocolate truffles on tap, but we took our seats opposite Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen AND Azealia Banks. Backstage after the show, in the swanky surroundings of Claridge’s Ballroom, we grabbed a chat with songstress-of-the-moment, Lana Del Ray, who dished on living in London, her mega eyelashes and her new namesake bag. But the fun didn't end there - oh no. Last night, we headed to the Savile Club where Emma Hill hosted an intimate dinner for 80 of her closest fashion friends.

The likes of Anna Wintour and Emmanuelle Alt climbed the grand staircase to take their seats for a delicious dinner cooked up by Tom Aikens. In the gorgeous oak-panelled Ballroom, the Mulberry monster we'd seen at that morning's show was standing on guard, while the décor was draped in shaggy goat fur to create a magical monster’s den - complete with opulent chandeliers. Those giant golden padlocks (that Grazia had earlier worn as *ahem* headgear) surrounded the tables, which were dressed in white and gold, just the ostrich "Del Ray" bag Lana was toting around.

Then Lana herself took to the stage, serenading the crowd with a beautiful acoustic set [scroll down to watch the video]. She looked more elegant that ever, wearing a floor-length custom-made black gown with lace sleeves. Michelle Williams and Elizabeth Olsen also opted for a touch of black lace + leather, hot off the Autumn Winter 2012 catwalk. Meanwhile, Alexa Chung worked her typical casual-coolness thanks to a truffle-coloured boyfriend coat over ankle-length burgundy cords, topped off with Mulberry's Harriet clutch and a pair of bow pumps from the Pre-Collection.
