We’ve got to hand it to Victoria Beckham – she’s a trooper. Fresh from the plane from New York where she’d showed her latest mainline collection, the designer hit London last night to celebrate her Victoria by Victoria Beckham range. Despite the fact she’d been ill in bed all afternoon, Victoria rallied herself to walk the red carpet at Harvey Nichols – where her range is exclusively stocked. Wearing one of her own dresses, inspired by Emily Strange, her hair was tied in a slick ponytail.
Joined by a host of close friends – think Tana and Gordon Ramsey and interior designer Kelly Hoppen (who we spied getting amorous in the corner) – Victoria celebrated the sell-out success of her secondary line.
‘The new line serves to channel my inner girl,’ she’s said of the collection of easy-to-wear dresses. ‘It is fun and young with a distinct sense of humour. The Victoria range can’t help but make you smile with its energy and personality.’
Victoria gave a short speech thanking her guests for their support before sitting down to an intimate, candle-lit dinner – featuring carbs! London Fashion Week stables like Olivia Palermo nibbled risotto Primavera, whole roasted Lemon Sole and Lemon and Mascarpone tart. Yummy!
