Poppy Delevigne at the House of Holland show today
The House of Holland show always sees a stellar front row and today was no different. Alexa Chung was there alongside bestie Pixie Geldof, Leigh Lezark was spotted nattering with Derek Blasberg, but it was the radiant Poppy Delevigne who was first to arrive. The blonde beauty looked typically easy breezy wearing an Aquascutum blazer with Les Chiffoniers leather trousers, Gucci snakeskin shoes and a Melimelo bag. Grazia Daily snuck up beside her on the FROW to talk fashion week hangovers and her crush on a certain One Direction star…
Grazia Daily: What’s your fashion week essential?
Poppy Delevigne: Good friends because it’s great to go to the shows together, travel together then have drinks together at the end of the day. That’s what makes it enjoyable.
Grazia Daily: Who’s your dream person to sit next to on the front row?
Poppy Delevigne: I want to sit on Harry Styles’ lap. I have a total crush on him. He walked past me at the Aquascutum show and I was salivating. I like his curly hair and he looks like a little cherub.
Grazia Daily: Your sister, Cara, is the model of the moment this season…
Poppy Delevigne: When I see her on the catwalk, I feel unbelievably proud. I’m like the embarrassing parent at the nativity play, screaming and whooping and she gets horribly embarrassed, but at the same time loves it and I love supporting her. She’s only walking for Burberry in London, but she’ll be at Paris and Milan.
Grazia Daily: Do you give her any modelling tips?
Poppy Delevigne: Not any more, she doesn’t need any tips. Maybe a few years ago I did, but definitely not now.
Grazia Daily: Would you ever work together?
Poppy Delevigne: We did a shoot together for W magazine and we loved it. We have a good energy together and it was a good balance. It’s always great to have some sibling modelling.
Have you had any fashion week disasters?
Poppy Delevigne: I hate missing shows, but unfortunately my middle name is 'late', so when you haven’t called to tell them you’re going to miss the show, I feel terrible. All the shows I go to, I have some kind of relationship with the designers and it’s horrible letting people down. Another disaster is being hungover. I learnt that early on; to avoid being hungover because it’s never helpful. You have to stay focused and then on Tuesday night, let it all go. I’m going to Matthew Williamson’s party on Sunday night so that’s a difficult one because he’s a really good friend and he always wants to go out dancing after his show, so I’ll have to watch myself.
