Selfridges launched their 'Bright Young Things' initiative last year to great acclaim - the gist of the project is that up-and-coming designers receive the most concrete support imaginable, by getting their collections stocked in the shopping mecca that is Selfridges. Genius, right?
Well, 2012 has seen the initiative return with a series of launch events in the run up to this London Fashion Week. In the fourth of this season’s events, Grazia's Hannah Almassi was filmed 'in conversation' with MASC, the design duo made up of real-life-and-work-life couple Duncan Shaw and Billy Yick, which hold at its core the concept of 'equipping the human form with an armoured elegance and chic minimalism.' The MASC signature style is all about unorthodox silhouettes, expressive draping and captivating detail, and their price point is super-accessible, with dresses starting from £250.
Hannah chatted to the twosome last night about what inspires them, how they feel about being stocked in Selfridges, and what the future holds for the label. Check out her chat with MASC by clicking play below, or head to Selfridges.com and see it there!
