Grazia Daily Remembers Whitney Houston's Greatest Moments

12 February 2012 by

As we reported earlier today, Whitney Houston has died aged 48.

The legendary songstress was found dead in her hotel room in Los Angeles at around 4pm on Saturday 11th February, just hours before she was due to perform at a pre-Grammy awards event.

News of her untimely passing has rocked the world with friends and fans tweeting their condolences. Grazia's News Reporter Lottie Lumsden was on location at the Beverley Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. 'Fans have gathered outside the hotel holding candles, laying flowers and singing Whitney's songs', she said. 'News vans and film crews are surrounding the area and helicoptors are flying over constantly. The weirdest thing is knowing that her body is upstairs while the event she was due to perform at is going on downstairs.'

Whitney Houston sold over 170 million albums worldwide. Her first UK hit, Saving All My Love For You, became number one in the charts in 1985. Undoubtedly her biggest hit was a cover of Dolly Parton's song, I Will Always Love You, taken from the film The Bodyguard in which Whitney Houston starred alongside Kevin Costner. Her seventh and final studio album, I Look To You, was released in 2009 featuring the hit single, Million Dollar Bill.

Whitney's style evolved throughout the years but her most iconic look was a fabulous bouffant paired with leather. While we fondly remember Whitney's greatest songs, take a scroll through our gallery and tell us which is your favourite Whitney moment.
