Good news, fash fans! Super high-street store ALDO has teamed up with emerging London Fashion Week designer J. W. Anderson to deliver designer shoes at high-street prices. Here at Grazia HQ, we've been worrying about what to dress our tootsies in for LFW – and now, we need fear no more!
Bringing the catwalk to the masses with their affordable and covetable collections, Aldo + Anderson certainly deliver in the style stakes. The range includes Eakins Colour-Block Sandals, which are utterly captivating black fringed beauties, and the Weatherbee Courts, available in three different colours and daring materials.
Far from being put off by the high-street, Anderson was thrilled to be involved in the coming together of catwalk and affordability saying: ‘I have no issue with collaborations. They represent modernity. At this time of year and with the today’s fashion market, they make so much sense.’ We hear you, JW!
The collaboration is part of a scheme by Young British Designers which was launched in 2010 with the aim of bringing the very best of emerging British based fashion talent to a global stage and we can think of nowhere better than the Canadian retailer. Of course this is not the first time that Aldo has joined forces with a new designer, let’s not forget the fringe sandal from Mark Fast in August 2011 where he delivered his sexy knits and flashing fringing to a whole new area of the body.
Anderson has drawn on inspiration from modern youth culture, bringing femininity and sophistication with a multitude of textures and colours showing an optimism for the future. Well, we love. And we want them all!
