Beyonce in ALICE by Alice Temperley and Monique Lhuillier
One month ago, the ever-gorgeous Beyoncé gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter and since then we've not seen a peep of her. Tenterhooks doesn't even describe it. We've been waiting and waiting and waiting...
But B certainly knows just how and when to make a grand entrance and boy, did she knock her first public appearance outta the ball park by wearing this lipstick red ALICE by Alice Temperley frock to her husband Jay Z's concert at Carnegie Hall. She's not one to do things by halves, so out Bey went for a second night in a row, lighting up the town in this super sexy black sequinned Monique Lhuillier. Yowsers!
It may be only four weeks since the birth of her first child, but B's infamously killer curves looked more dangerously voluptuous and delicious than ever. From her supersleek 'do down to her sparkly Louboutins, there wasn't a single sign that she didn't feel like one red hot mama. The ingenious ruching and carefully engineered silhouette of the ALICE 'Molina' dress (which is from the recent Cruise collection) hugs in all the right places, whether you're curvy like Beyoncé or looking to add some va-va-voom to a boyish silhouette. No joke, when this picture turned up at Grazia towers, jaws have never collectively dropped like it before. Every girl needs a good LBD AND a great LRD and let's face it, Beyonce could've chosen any of the many of ultra-constructed mega-bucks dresses to make her feel confident on this return to the spotlight, but we think she chose this particular number for it's magic powers.... The ALICE price tag for extreme figure flattery is (shock!) £295 and in comparison to other designer labels promising the same thing you could say it's shy of about one grand! Fortunately there are still some available here on the ALICE website and Net-A-Porter, but when a dress makes you look this good we don't think they'll be hanging around for long...
The Temperley fan club stretches far and wide - with mavens from P Middy (who caused that frantic FROW watch at LFW last show season) to Rihanna. And this isn't the first time B has called upon our Brit designer either. In the past she's gone from skimpy and sassy in an ALICE play suit to cute and snugly in a statement knit cardi.
Bizarrely enough, Bey wasn't the first lady to get papped in the 'Molina'. It was in fact X Factor alumni Rebecca Fegurson last weekend. Now there's your strange fact of the day, kids.
