It was just like a scene from a Hollywood movie when this A-list diva strutted into the Grazia office to guest edit the magazine. And no, we're not talking about Editor-in-chief Jane Bruton who was momentarily toppled from her throne by this demanding princess. Those of you who have already raced out to get your copy of Grazia this week will know that we've had a little helping hand from none other than 'The Muppets' star miss Piggy. Squeals!
News of her arrival at Grazia HQ spread like wild fire with queues of adoring fans lining the streets outside our office. We've not seen anything like it since One Direction were rumoured to be in the building last year! Of course, Miss Piggy was on a tight schedule so we managed to smuggle her in the back entrance. After strict instructions from her people, who spoke to our people, this fabulous starlet swept through the doors, entourage in tow who issued strict instructions not to take photos on our phones or look her directly in the eye. Did someone say diva?!
This drama queen took no time at all putting the team in their place and after a rummage through the beauty cupboard with Rose and Lauren, Miss Piggy deigned to tell the girls that 'this is one of the best days of your lives'. Modest much?! Of course, they were as equally taken with her. 'She has the most amazing eyelashes I've ever seen' said Beauty Editor Lauren.
Fashion Reporter Hannah Almassi had a hard time wrestling this gorgeous skirt away from Miss Piggy in her very favourite shade, pink of course! When asked by our Picture Director Deborah if she ever wore trousers, she retorted 'very rarely but I do own some black sequin leggings'. We would expect nothing less.
Of course, we weren't going to let Miss Piggy get away without doing any work and she spent lots of time with the team choosing photos and imparting her fabulous pearls of wisdom on everything from how she keeps her figure in check (only eat things you can actually lift FYI) to the Diva Code. You can read all about it in this weeks issue and check out what she thought about some of her A-list peers on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild awards as she joins our Fashion Jury.
After a hard days slog with the team (you can see in the picture above, Editorial Assistant Jo had just about had enough of her diva demands!), it was time for Miss Piggy to sweep off into the sunset and off to a fitting with the equally fabulous Giles Deacon who was dressing her for the 'The Muppets' premiere. Alright for some, eh?!
