Topshop's T-shirt Collection Created By NEWGEN Alumni From Christopher Kane and Erdem to Mary Katrantzou!

06 February 2012

Fancy bagging yourself a bargain from twenty of Britain’s hottest designers?  Of course you do!  Well ladies, your luck is in. Topshop have collaborated with NEWGEN (The British Fashion Council initiative that supports young British fashion talent) to create a collection of super cool T-shirts, and the best news is they cost a very budget-friendly £30!

The collection (the proceeds of which, will go to Centrepoint, the homeless charity) marks the ten-year anniversary of Topshop’s sponsorship of the NEWGEN scheme.  Fashion loving women have a lot to thank good old Topshop for; over the years they have helped kick-start and nurture the fledgling careers of some of Britain’s best designers from Jonathan Saunders and Christopher Kane to Giles and Mary Katrantzou, helping them with staging fashion shows, investment, media profile and sales. As Kane told Grazia, “The NEWGEN facility gave me a platform to show my collections immediately after graduation, without it I wouldn't have been able to do a catwalk show and for that I will always be grateful.”

You can get your mitts on the collection from February 17th, when they go on sale at and Topshop stores nationwide as well as Selfridges London Fashion Week pop up shop.  Personally, we’re lusting after the Erdem and JW Anderson styles, but which one tickles your fancy – Holly Fulton’s lips and straw graphics maybe or Marios Schwab’s digital prints? Check the entire collection in the gallery below…
