Rachel McAdams Wows In Peter Som Cobalt Blue Printed Maxi Skirt: How To Get The Look!

Last night, Rachel McAdams caught our eye when she attended the ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ premiere wearing a gorgeous maxi skirt split to the thigh. Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA was turned into a tropical rainforest for the red carpet event, so Rachel opted for a suitably tropical printed skirt in cobalt blue.

The actress teamed the skirt with a matching knitted top and those deep marine shades work perfectly with her fair colouring. The summery look has only increased our hope for this bitterly cold weather to pass - we want to whip out those bright prints and floaty fabrics!

We'll be remembering this look when the warm weather arrives, not least because it's a great way to wear summer florals without looking too girly. On the Spring Summer 2012 catwalks, there was an explosion of beautiful printed perrenials and multi-coloured blossoms.

BUT, miss-matched flower prints in rainbow colours aren't everyone girl's cup of tea. So make like Rachel and start integrating these brights into your winter wardrobe. Yes, a thigh high split maxi skirt isn't ideal in blustery winds, but the look can be replicated with a similar skirt (minus the split) when paired with woolly tights or a printed trouser plus coloured wool jumper.

We've picked our top six buys so you can replicate her look right now. Take a look below and happy shopping!
