Style Hunter How-To: Palazzo Trousers For Winter

Wardrobes all over the UK are groaning with pretty palazzo trousers, sadly redundant in nippy winter months. But it is most definitely time to let the pants off house arrest, and release their beauty back onto unsuspecting icy streets. At the menswear shows in Paris, Style Hunter snapped Katy Reiss winter-ising her gorgeous Lanvin palazzo trousers perfectly. Teamed with an ivory COS coat, Katy's trousers don't look out of place at all in a freezing January Parisian afternoon.

Why It Works

1. Katy has teamed her busy printed palazzos with a simple coat and silver Lanvin heels. These neutral colours keep the ensemble elegant, and avoid it looking beachy.

2. Simple socks or tights keep cold legs warm under the silky lightness of a Palazzo pant.

3. A short trouser keeps the look smart, and avoids the dreaded rain-soaked ankles. A massive pet peeve for us. Ewwww.

4. Opt for slimmer printed silk trousers rather than trousers with too much fabric and volume, for a smarter (and drier!) result.
