Grazia Goes Backstage at Chanel's Spring 2012 Couture Show: EXCLUSIVE GALLERY

Couture week may have come to a close for another season, but there’s one show we’ll never forget. On Tuesday morning, Karl Lagerfeld – the man famous for extravagant sets – went sky-high, creating an airplane inside the Grand Palais. As the fash-pack boarded Chanel Air, we were ushered to our numbered seats while drinks were served on the chicest silver trolleys.

Then the Spring 2012 collection took flight. The parade of models showcased elegant sky-blue dresses and tulip skirts as light as clouds. Meanwhile, Karl Lagerfeld watched over his creations from a mock cockpit at the end of the catwalk. From our FROW seats, we longed for a magnifying glass to inspect all that intricate embroidery, those crystal beads, the wisps of chiffon – and now, here’s our chance.

Today, Grazia Daily can bring you exclusive backstage images from the show. See Edie Campbell looking utterly angelic in an opalescent number and Karlie Kloss working a magnificent bouffant, moments before hitting the catwalk. So let’s join the high flyers and have a scroll through the gallery above. It’s quite the trip...
