Last night, Drew Barrymore attended the premiere of her new movie 'Big Miracle' in Washington DC before popping out for a bite to eat with her fiancé Will Kopelman. But we weren’t as distracted by her hunky husband-to-be as we were with her gorgeous frock.

Wearing a fabulous long sleeve gown by Ports 1961, loved-up Drew, who has been married twice before, proved that bright prints with a tribal influence can work on the red carpet and in winter too.

Championed by designers such as Peter Pilotto and Dries Van Noten, who have paved the way for a wider spectrum of evening wear, ethnic and digital prints have become a fave for A-list celebs doing the red carpet rounds. Attention to detail when working this trend is key and minimalist lines plus simple make-up as well as accessories are what will secure you a winning look.

This is a trend that is set to be massive for Spring so keep your eyes peeled for any unusual prints in unexpected colour combos. Then pair with a tonal top / bottom or be brave and clash your prints. Either way, have fun with it!
