Reports have emerged this morning that Sienna and Savannah Miller have stepped down as co-creative directors of Twenty8Twelve, which they launched with Pepe Group in 2007. WWD is reporting that the line will continue under the current design team.
After six years, the sisters have decided to pursue other ventures. 'We’ve had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures,' they said this morning. 'We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.'
'We’ve had a great partnership with the Miller sisters,' Nish Soneji, managing director of Twenty8Twelve, told WWD. 'From the beginning, our mission was to create a contemporary label with its own identity and strong directional design, as well as an emphasis on quality, cut and finishing. That vision, along with the uniquely British style the collection has become known for, will continue under the direction of the Twenty8Twelve design team.' He also noted that the Miller sisters’ input 'came much more from the product perspective.'
The label will now be called Twenty8Twelve London, rather than Twenty8Twelve by s. miller. and will show its Autumn / Winter 2012 collection as part of London Fashion Week on February 28th.
