It happens to the best of us; when someone comes between us and something we really want, the red haze descends. And when that something is a butter-soft Jimmy Choo handbag, with a snakeskin embossed panel in the eye-popping citrus yellow that we’ve seen all over the catwalks for Spring / Summer 2012, it is ON.
For the latest Jimmy Choo campaign, uber-photographer Terry Richardson taps into our primal fashion urges, and the result is glossy, glam and fabulous. Shot just outside New York City, the campaign sees catwalk-favourites Jamie Bochert and Magdalena Frackowiak (in the blonde corner) facing off against a stately backdrop, wearing beautifully draped silk and overblown floral prints. All this steamy gorgeousness was inspired by actress Anouk Aimée in the lead role of 1969 film ‘Justine’; think intense and broody glamour in a heady Mediterranean setting.
Honestly, we’re not sure who we’d back in a fight, but isn’t it nice to look at? We can’t imagine that either of them let go of the fab ‘Justine’ bag after the cameras stopped rolling; Magdalena’s got her game face on, and we don’t think she’s acting. It reminds us of every sample sale we’ve ever been to, but with better hair.
