Looks like we're not the only ones who've been making the most of the January sales. Our sources inform us Kate Middleton has been scooping up the bargains too, shopping on the King’s Road in London earlier this week. So where did she go and what did she buy?
Well, we know the Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Anonymous by Ross+Bute on Monday afternoon, browsing in the shop for a good 10 minutes before trying on a few items in the fitting room. As a shrewd stylista, Kate purchased just one item: a long-sleeved wool top adorned with a suitably Duchess-esque jewel collar. The regal number is currently in the sale after being reduced from £169 to £84.50 and for all you copy-Kates, you can buy it yourself on the brand's website, www.anonymousclothing.com

If you're unfamiliar with Anonymous by Ross+Bute, let us fill you in. The British brand offers luxurious yet affordable womenswear that is highly feminine, with knitwear at its core. Their signature items are adorned with lace and buttons, ideal for a Duchess. Madonna is also a fan, wearing their lace-trimmed vest in her music video for 'American Pie' and Renee Zellweger sported a similar design in 'Bridget Jones'.
As Grazia reports in this week's issue, the 'Kate effect' has brought an astounding £1billion into the ailing British economy. Reiss, one of the DoC's favourite labels, posted record profits earlier this month and her latest highstreet hit in Anonymous is bound to cause a similar frenzy. Yep, Kate really could be the UK's - possibly the world's - most bankable fashion star...
