Congratulations Burberry! The British luxury brand has celebrated getting ten million likes on facebook – more than any other luxury brand. And to celebrate, Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey and his team have created a super adorable video to say thank you. And it’s ace!
The vid (above) features a handwritten note from Christopher and a typically British animation, involving lots of cute figures in macs holding Burberry printed umbrellas.
The good people at Burbs have also uploaded a series of videos to their youtube account, featuring a behind the scenes account of their Spring / Summer 2012 campaign. The latest campaign features the ever-delightful Cara Delevigne, who has been the main face of the label for the past two seasons, along with My Week With Marilyn actor Eddie Redmayne, who last appeared in a Burberry campaign in 2008.
Eddie was full of praise for both Cara and for Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, saying ‘I have worked with Burberry before and it’s always a fantastic experience. Christopher wanted something playful from the shoot and so Cara and I had a genius couple of days fooling around. Hopefully the enjoyment we had is reflected in the campaign.’
He continued with praise for Christopher, saying ‘I am a huge fan of Christopher Bailey… He is a brilliant designer and a brilliant man. The fashion world can be a tad intimidating, but Christopher remains a kind, grounded gem of a man.’
Aw, what a charmer! And on a totally unrelated side note, it’s Eddie’s 30th Birthday tomorrow, so Happy Birthday from everyone at Grazia, young man.
