Tyra Banks smizes up a storm for I Love You magazine

04 January 2012 by

Holy Amateur Dramatics Group Batgirl, what’s this? Has Tyra Banks gone stark raving mad? Erm, well, no. Tyra is the latest cover star for uber-cool magazine ‘I Love You’ and the good people at the mag have now released a behind the scenes video from her shoot.

Basically, the video features Tyra saying ‘I love you’ and then ‘I hate you’ in a tres emotive fashion at the camera, complete with lots of lip curling, and snarling, and pouting, and heart-hand-making and – of course – smizing.

Tyra, as the host of America’s Next Top Model, is usually the one pushing wannabe models to stretch their range of emotions in order to get a great shot (and we’re not suggesting that Tyra’s cover of I Love You is anything but a great shot). And it seems that Tyra is as good as her word, because Photographer Marcus Gaab reveals that the model was not pushed to snarl and pout and dance but that all her direction came from within.

‘I just told her to perform, do her thing and to stop when she felt like…. But she didn’t stop, she kept on voguing. There was no rehearsal; she invented the whole thing while we were there’.

‘She just kept on voguing’? Ye Gods. She might make a great model, but you wouldn’t want to be stuck in a lift with her, would you?
