If you haven’t encountered Marian Kihogo’s blog before then please take five minutes out of your schedule (like, right now) to be totally and utterly inspired! To be truly fair to our favourite stylist/consultant/celebrity dresser/online phenomenon, the word ‘blog’ barely covers the chic extent of Marian’s website. It’s more like an online magazine – and when it comes to the content, it's hard to try and pigeon hole or categorise her musings. This endlessly street-snapped lady is a whirlwind of fabulosity, picking up inspiration here, there and everywhere, and at any given moment. The feed on her site is spontaneous, instantaneous and truly reactive to her love to clothing, music, art and beauty.
Natt Weller, Tolula Adeyemi and Marian Kihogo in Asia de Cuba
We’ve been fans since the start, but last night the eccentrically well-dressed and glamazonian Marian invited Grazia’s Style Hunter along to an intimate dinner at St Martins Lane’s Asia de Cuba restaurant (YUM!) to celebrate the second anniversary of her website in style. Who celebrates an anniversary of a blog, you ask? Only someone as brilliantly bonkers as the lovely Marian.
True to form, her dinner guests were as eclectic as her outfit combination - an Ana Sekularlac red mini (and we mean reeeally mini) dress, shaggy faux fur coat, Anita Quansah necklace, heart-printed tights and Nicholas Kirkwood for Peter Pilotto heels… Model Tolula Adeyemi (she's moving into acting, dontcha know), illustrator Daisy Devilleneuve (who is currently collaborating with Juicy Couture), artist Hormazd Narielwalla (who recently immortalised the iconic Diane Pernet for his recent exhibition), Nat Weller and a girl with 750 dresses (yes, really!) all bonded over lemongrass cocktails in The Light Bar and dish after dish of glorious food to talk Christmas plans, Nail Rock transfers and compare their Christian Louboutin sample sale finds. What a lovely evening.
Happy Anniversary Marian!
