E-store shoppers of the fashion world assemble! You have a new site to wander through in webtown – and even though Avenue32.com only launched a few days ago it’s fast becoming a fashion insider’s favourite. Maybe that’s because it’s run by such a brilliant bunch of insiders – in both fashion and finance. Founders and managing directors Roberta Benteler and Juri von Randow (who both have extensive experience in business) have recruited a power team: Fashion and Brand Director, Erin Mullaney (previously Buying Director at Browns) and Editor in Chief Rebecca Guinness (from NOWNESS.com) and now Avenue32 the cool girl’s place to hang out online. Why? Well, alongside a selection of stealthy luxury brands like Valextra and Emanuel Ungaro, you’ll find all the fash ed must-haves like Hillier jewellery and Lisa Marie Fernandez swimwear, too. Mix that up with hot new brands like one of Australia’s coolest exports, Ellory, and Brit hits, Preen, and you’ve got quite a special wardrobe coming together. Avenue32 provide the classic, the unexpected and the uber-fashion in between. There’s lots more to drop online soon, but for now its Resort 2012 time. Yippee!
We know you’re all thinking, just what would Grazia choose? So we’ve picked our top buys that will fast-track you into the new season…
1. Lara Bohinc’s Tatjana belt, £410
If we can’t actually BE Lara Bohinc (which we’d like, she is so gorg) then we can at least wear some of her fab-u-lous accessories. Big belts are having a bit of a moment, but the simplicity of this one is just right.
2. Ca&Lou’s Debutante necklace, £160
Just so perfect for nailing the ladylike look – and divine with a little crew-neck knit.
3. Hillier’s silver bunny with tourmaline, £350
We’ve hardly seen a fash ed without one of Hillier’s little animal paper-clip-like creations. Well, they are VERY cute.
4. Lizzy Disney’s Envelope bag, £250
Fashion East alumni Lizzy Disney has moved from clothes to accessories and her bags are simple, chic and just TDF. And handmade in Great Britain!
5. Preen’s Hitch Scuba Dress, £505
Oh, we do like a wintry floral. This dress will last all year – just slip it over a roll-neck for now.
6. Paper London’s Intarsia Cape, £225
Statement knitwear has basically become a staple in any fashion conscious girl’s wardrobe – but this caped beauty knocks every contender outta the park.
7. Ellery Something in the Way bodice, £305
With a slight peplum and structured finish, this cheeky little top will be just right for next spring’s couture-like shapes but a nice party piece for now, too.
8. Anndra Neen’s Web choker, £505
As if Phoebe and Annette Stephens – the New York-based sisters behind the label – weren’t stylish enough to lure you into the collar trend, their designs will!
