Karl Lagerfeld is a very busy man. If he’s not shooting new muses like Alice Dellal, organising a triumphant India inspired show (complete with mini Chanel train), concentrating on getting couture perfect, organising another huge AW12 show (it’s only two months away), he’s coming up with new ways to keep himself occupied. Clearly he felt he didn’t have enough to do, and so decided to launch another label, as you do. Karl is launching exclusively on Net-a-Porter in 2012, but thankfully, rather than keep it all under wraps till then, Net are letting you have a little sneak preview on their new microsite dedicated to all things Karl.
We had seen one image of the collection several weeks ago, but now they are giving us three more to drool over. The aesthetic of the collection seems to be typically Karl. Barely there leather driving gloves, detachable collars, a basically all black palette – so far, so Karl-a-like. But the difference is the price. There are no eye-watering figures here, and there is something for every budget. Naturally it’s not Karl Lagerfeld for H&M low, but affordable all the same.
Net are also giving you the chance to win £1000 to spend on the collection. Simply download their clever Karl app and navigate a maze-style game to enter. Surely shopping has never been this fun!
Keep your eye on Grazia in January, where we will be revealing the entire Karl collection, which we know you won’t be able to resist.
