Antonio Berardi talks about dressing Lana Del Rey for her latest video ‘Born 2 Die’: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Ah, we heart Lana Del Ray. The pouty-lipped singer Lana Del Rey looks suitably like the queen of the music world in her new video for 'Born 2 Die', thanks to her white Antonio Berardi gown. Oh, and that throne. Surrounded by two tigers…

'I adore Lana. She is a breath of fresh air, all breathy, sexy and hauntingly beautiful. The equivalent of a modern day Julie London on a David Lynch tip - with all the style and finesse of a Veronica Lake!' Antonio exclusively told Grazia Daily this morning after seeing music’s most-hyped newcomer rocking his Spring / Summer 2011 collection. 'Pheeeeww! Ain't I a lucky boy? It has been a while since I have been so excited about the arrival of a new artist.'

Alternating between the grown-up column dress and high-top Converse and a tassle-fringed jacket, Lana highlights her ability to switch from glamorous goddess to indie-queen in the swish of a denim-hotpanted wiggle – no wonder the fashion world is totally crushing over her. She’s already graced her first magazine cover (Wonderland’s Nov/Dec issue), performed at Mulberry’s Spring / Summer 2012 presentation at the Chateau Marmont in L.A. and been dressed by the likes of Prabal Gurung and Moschino.

And what of the song? Well if you liked 'Video Games' – her last hit which made her a YouTube sensation – you’ll like 'Born To Die'. Ok, the moody, blood-soaked set is a bit 'True Blood' but the song shows off her characteristic voice.

Bearing in mind her debut album isn’t even out yet (early 2012, we’ve heard) Lana Del Ray is most definitely one to watch…
