In the latest issue of Grazia (out now!), Paula Reed dishes on Chanel's Metiers d'Arts show that took place in Paris last week. And today, Grazia Daily can bring you more backstage images for your visual pleasure.

First, allow us to set the scene. As Paula reports, the room where the lavish show took place was filled with two sweeping banqueting tables, crystal chandeliers and trays of Indian delicacies. Meanwhile, the floor was scattered with sequins, sand and rose petals. Sigh. On the catwalk, model veterans Stella Tennant and Yasmin Le Bon showcased tweed suits flecked with gold and Yasmin's daughter, Amber, looked divine sporting a jewelled bindi a-top her mass of dreadlocks.

Freida Pinto was the event's fitting guest of honour, sitting on the front row and posing backstage with Karl Lagerfeld. The actress was wearing a peacock-blue dress of chiffon ruffles nipped in at the waist by a black belt and accessorised with little more than a sparkling cuff and her tousled hair. 'It was a perfect meeting of French elegance with Indian influence,' she excitedly told Paula after the show.

Indeed, La Pinto is fast becoming a bona fide Chanel muse. The 27-year-old star has admitted to having a special affection for the French fashion house after Uncle Karl believed in her before she hit the big time. 'For the very first red carpet I did at the Toronto Film Festival in 2008, [Chanel] dressed me up in their very current season collection,' she's revealed.
And here she is, three years later, trotting around Paris swathed in Lagerfeld's creations with a classic 2.55 bag slung over her shoulder and a VIP spot at the most glamorous show of the season. Check out the rest of our images in the gallery below...
