Kate and Pippa Middleton’s Clothes-Swapping Continues With the Same Katherine Hooker Coat

You’d think that a bonafide Princess and her Royal Hotness sister might be able to afford their own winter coat… but judging by Pippa Middleton stepping out in her sister’s Katherine Hooker coat this weekend perhaps not!

Pippa and Kate Middleton’s Clothes-Swapping Continues With a Katherine Hooker Coat

Pippa wore the £725 coat at a wedding of two of her friends from Edinburgh university days (anyone else think she’s getting bored of attending those this year?). The Duchess of Cambridge had worn it on her first public engagement in Anglesey last February.

It’s not the first time the sisters have borrowed each other’s clothes. They both used a Whistles jacket to smarten up summer dresses earlier this year. And even Carole’s got in on the clothes-swapping, act. She was spotted re-wearing Kate’s Philip Treacy fascinator at the races. (Hmm…!)

In a way, it totally makes sense for Pippa to take advantage of Kate’s ever-expanding wardrobe. It’s also perhaps another sign that the girls are taking their fashion statements seriously in these times of austerity. Kate’s been praised recently for wearing high-street buys, like the £100 Zara tulip dress she wore to a Gary Barlow charity concert. Whilst we’re of course fans of frugal fashion Kate, we have to say we wouldn’t mind a McQueen style show-stopper every now and then. Christmas day with the Queen, anyone?

Netta Schimmel Beentjes (Mon May 21 17:50:13 BST 2012): Good idea to share clothes a bit, saves money. Then there is an opportunity to give to the "needy". It is more blessed to give than to receive.
