Gareth Pugh and Jade Parfitt
We’ve got a tip for Pippa Middleton, whose book on party tips is reportedly underway; get in touch with designer Gareth Pugh – the boy knows how to put on a bash! We rolled up to celebrate the launch of his incredible range of Gothy sexy cool makeup for MAC – only to find a room the size of an aircraft hanger full of glamourous Pugh fans (all in black, naturellement) and dry ice swirling tantalizingly on the dancefloor. Both Richard Mortimer of Boombox and Princess Julia DJ’d – Julia told us she was planning to play ‘a bit of ‘70’s, ‘80’s, ‘90’s and noughties. So something for everyone’.
We bumped into lovely supermodel and presenter, Jade Parfitt who was looking sleek in her Gareth Pugh minidress, we asked her how many Christmas parties she’d been to and she told us with a theatrical sigh ‘at least three a night, every day for the last two weeks!’ Poor Jade, you need a break love.

Then we sidled up to Bip Ling, who told us how in demand she is on the DJ circuit these days. We asked her to recommend a song and she said she’s really into Foster The People ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ – nice one Bip.

Designers Louise Gray and Holly Fulton
While we scoffed mini hamburgers and teeny tiny fish and chips we spotted Louise Gray looking dazzling across the room. Managing to wear about four outfits one on top of the other, she explained that she had on neon green Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, jeans, a dress and an oversized t shirt covered in what looked like poster paint – ‘Meadham Kirchhoff made it for me!’
Speaking of Nicholas Kirkwood, he was there as well and, seeing how is our ultimate sexy shoe god, we wondered if he had any tips for us on how to survive the party seasons in our high heeled kicks. ‘Why yes, of course’ he replied; ‘the more you drink the less you’ll feel it when you fall over’. Wise words indeed Nicholas!
